I installed Hondata S300 on a P28 in my 01 ITR today to see if I can start playing around with SManager but could not figure out why the USB Driver won't install properly. I tried this using the 1.5.4.0 (beta) and 1.4.8.0 (production) versions and two laptops on a Windows 7 w/ 32 bit and Vista w/ 64 bit but came up with same results. Tried searching the forums also with no luck so far. Laptops can see the ECU but I cannot go "On line" to load Calibrations to ECU. The "yellow icon" next to S300 USB Driver on Device Manager window remains even after multiple install/uninstall. Car runs fine before I put on the S300 P28 ECU and it still runs fine when I put it back.

Car: Stock everything 2001 Integra Type R
PC OS: #1. Windows Vista 64bit #2 Windows 7 32 bit
Hondata S300 Version(s) used: 1.4.8.0 and 1.5.4.0 (tried on both laptops)
ECU: P28 with S300

Followed the USB troubleshoot and ECU troubleshoot steps with no luck. When I try to click "Upgrade Driver" on Device Manager Windows states that it could not install drever due to corrupted device (code 39)". When I try to check the driver, Windows states that I already have to most updated driver. However, Smanager still cannot communicate with the ECU.

Please help me figure out how to properly get the S300 USB drivers installed. Thank you.

What directory are you installing the drivers from when it asks you?

Well when I hooked up the ECU again to double check where the driver is being sent to and it decided to go on-line instantly so I guess my issue is fixed now. Thanks for the reply though.

FYI to anyone else interested. The only thing different I did this time was not disconnecting the negative on the battery before unhooking the ECU. I just disconnected the original ECU and plugged the P28 ECU with the battery still hooked up then turned key and instantly hooked up.
