No FTP sensor with PRB K-pro for obd2 scan

Post by STiness101 »

Hey,

I had a quick question. Im going to be installing a k-series in my 96 integra but i know that these cars do not have an FTP sensor in the tank and I am worried about throwing a CEL with a PRB ECU. I know I can disable it in the kpro but I want to be able to have the ability to scan for OBD2 readiness codes or at least with all the obd2a.

Would a JDM PRC ECU be able to work with the readiness check on OBD2 as I know that that ecu will not look for the FTP sensor? I don't know if it looks for the secondary 02 sensor or not or if it passes all the other US spec readiness codes.

Thanks!

Disabling the error code does not keep you from checking error codes.

Oh ok, so if I would go for smogging it, all the readiness codes would show up with it disabled?
