I just installed my brand new sm-afr and dm-5 gauge with wideband 02 sensor, connected to a hondata s300 p72 ECU.
D14 connected to narrowband simulated from sm-afr
D10 connected to wideband signal from sm-afr
Ive tried grounding at the ECU and on the chassis , makes no difference. Have the power for the sm-afr connected to 12v ignition near fuse box under dash.
Got power to the gauge and it powers up but as soon as i connect the 02 sensor plug to the sm-afr box the gauge goes off completely. Ive tried plugging it in with the 02 sensor disconnected at the sensor plug end and it stayed on. But as soon as i connect the plug to the sensor my gauge goes off completely.
Does this mean i have a faulty wideband o2 sensor? are there any checks i can do with a multimeter on the sensor itself?
PLX install problem
Re: PLX install problem
Problem solved by connecting 12v and ground direct to battery! Looks like my 12v source wasn't able to supply enough current and/or my ground wasn't good enough.
