kpro d17 stumbling at low throttle

Post by exodusem2 »

d17 turbo with kpro. at low throttle (approx 4-8%tps) the engine acts like it is misfiring on multiple cylinders, rpm stays the same or drops, afr climbs rapidly to 21.8(max wideband will read @ 5v). at around 10% throttle the engine instantly comes back to life; afr drops back to normal, acceleration returns and rpms climb smoothly. in the attached datalog, the stumbling starts at the 8 and 24 second marks, and engine kicks in at the 10.75 and 28.75 marks. easy to see the kicking back in with the injector spike. the problem is intermittent and seems to me to be related to high humidity. it seems only to occur either after a rain, or when it is just plain humid.

It shows you have an overheating error in the datalog. You need to resolve that issue first.

If you have an intermittent issue that is related to moisture then you may have a corroded terminal somewhere in the wiring harness that is causing the issue you describe.

i'll check all terminals and connections. as for the overheating prob, i hadn't cleared the code after i had fixed the issue. temp doesn't rise above 196.9 during datalog.
