going from PRC to PRB ecu

Post by Qfactor »

I would like to know if I can just swap out the daughter board from the my old PRC to my new PRB ecu, I 've searched the forum but no such luck. I've read that I need to send to Hondata for them to swap out the ecu for $100. if the ecu is stock what is done to it such as programming to accept the doughter board or is it as simple you unsoldering the kpro board and soldering to new ecu. any input would be greatly appreciated.

Hondata is going to tell you, and with good reason, that you have to have a certified installer/shop install Kpro. If you want to retain any kind of support or warranty.

Why are you wanting to change the ECU?

I will be using the nitrous feature, I have done the three jumper wires on the back, the two five pin headers and the single one as the PRC but still getting failed upload of the KAL, I know how to solder I've done surface mount components, I've verified my solder joints with a 30X magnification glass. Or is there a difference on how the jumpers are set up for the PRB ecu, or is there something else I'm missing such as preprograming of the ecu before uploading KAL's. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
