A/c hi/low boost

Post by Lazysk8r2 »

Im trying to hook up my in dash A/C switch for hi/low boost. Here is a diagram that I just drew of the system, is the way I have it written below the correct way to wire it? I was told the switch is just Power, Ground In and Ground Out. I know the BLK/YEL is Power and my assumption is BLU/RED is Ground IN and GRN Ground Out, is this correct?

I am assuming I cut the Green and wire it to B5 on my ECU and cut BLUE/RED and ground it to chassis, is this correct? Am I supposed to leave the 12v BLK/YEL attached to the switch?

You need a diagram of the switch itself and you will modify the switch to bypass all the AC components.

Here is the diagram from Honda manual

Looks like C9 and C10 (this is OBD-2 ecu reference, 00 civic manual) hopefully Spunkster can confirm this. but it looks like pin to your hi/low input and ground the other end (think im right). hopefully someone else could chime in here.

from my understanding i think you will have to cut the switch out wire in a relay to complete a circuit and the end result will be whatever input you select (B5 for instance). hope hondata or someone else can jump in and confirm.

we can figure this out but we need to know this. Does B5 need to see a ground to activate the secondary table or does it need to see voltage to activate the table change??? please Hondata, Spunkstur reply!

I believe it is a ground, but you have to look at the diagram for how the AC switch works to verify this. I do not have an ETM at this time

well i have been looking into B5 still trying to figure out if its a grounded input ( i think it is but want to be sure). if it is you will not need the relay and i will make a digram to show you. I have a friend helping me find out if it is or not.

O and i seen this post on Ohio hondas as well.
