Weird problem

Okay I'm not getting any codes yet. My car cuts out at 4k all the time and I've check the timing over and over again. So when I have the laptop hooked up to the ecu it never does that?. It's like hitting the rev limiter and wont go any higher them 4k

let me guess u have an obd2 engine using an obd1 conversion harness?

Nope it's a 96ek and im using a jumper harness to the obd1 ecu
