overheating with nitrous

i have a 96 gsr and just put a 35 shot on and the car runs fine, and doesnt overheat. but as soon as i spray the nitrous, the car shakes a little and starts to overheat, why is this?.. i have the basic bolt ons, and it is a dry kit, the nitrous table is active and if i floor it, it goes to rich, and as soon as i spray- it goes lean. i have the timing at -3 and upped the fuel from 300(went straight lean) and added more to 750 and still the same thing, any ideas??.. thanks
