GM Boost Solenoid issues

Fairly new to the honda/hondata world. I bought a 2000 integra with a fair amount of stuff done to and it is using hondata s300 and the gm boost solenoid. this car was an absolute wiring nightmare and im getting closer to fixing the majority of it. i got to drive it the other night once i got the fuel situation sorted out and it hit 22psi several times. after that on the same night and to this day it will only make wastegate pressure (10-12 psi depending on temps) i found the solenoid-ecu wire broke before the conversion harness and resoldered all of the wires to ensure a good connection. i also added the proper diode close to the solenoid at this time. i put the striped in to the 12v ignition source. it is still not functioning. i tried to activate the solenoid at 0psi to see if it would start clicking just sitting with key on and it still does nothing. i have verified there is 12v getting to the connector and there is good conductivity through the signal wire. I have it set up as i have seen on here under the boost control parameters. what is the next step? see if the pwm is registering on the computer itself? how do i set this up for monitoring in the graph? any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to post your calibration and a datalog showing the problem.

i will get both up tonight. thanks

is there a way i can test this solenoid to see if it is mechanically worknig without actually going and beating on the car? would putting the activation pressure to 0psi and just key on so it gets 12v result in the solenoid kicking on, and thus making the ticking noise?

well here is an update. found voltage on both wires going to the solenoid. for some reason the ecu signal wire was getting voltage at some point from the 12v wire. i retraced it all, removed the diode (didnt fix issue), ran them a little differently and insulated them both better. fixed the problem. jumped the solenoid to see if i could get it to manually activate, it did. put a tune on the car that kicked it on at -14.7 and the solenoid did start clicking like it should. figured i was in the clear and went to drive. still nothing... here is the datalog and tune after the wiring fixes.

Try setting it at fixed duty cycle and max boost at 100%, also set boost cut at 15 PSI.

why are you suggesting boost cut at 15psi? also, by having it at a fixed duty cycle, can i still control it by gear? if that isnt possible i would be just as good off using an MBC...

You must use a fixed duty cycle to find what duty cycle gives what amount of boost. Then you create the table and can setup boost by gear from that.

no, start low and go in 5 percent increments to avoid over boosting and damaging your engine.

also, for clarification, in the boost by gear table would you input your pressure setting found during the duty cycle testing or the actual boost amount (like 22psi)?

This was just a test to see if it worked, if it did then you can set boost cut back to were you want it. Once you get things right get the car tuned.

welp that stuff didnt work, check out the log/tune. also noticed some stuff, as the fixed duty cycle is increased the solenoid clicks more quietly/faster. i put it up on 90% sitting still with the car off and activation on -14.7 so i could hear it and it sounded like it wasnt on. gradually as you bring down the % you can hear it more distinctly. also, it would not let me put 100% in there, it would 0 it out. hope that helps

Check boost hose to solenoid and hose from solenoid to wastegate for blockage. Have you tried changing the solenoid configuration from normally open to normally close, what happens when you do this?
