hi.
i have installed a knock detector. the data output wire (0-5 volts) is connected with D12. i can set the data rate, but how many samples per second is the s300 able to handle? i can set it from 5 to 100.
thanks

What ECU are you using?

a p28. The 104k condensator was allready installed on c42.

Wow, very quiet in here atm?!

You can't use knock control on a P28 as it does not have the hardware in the ECU.

nono, i just want it to monitor in the datalogs! i have set it at the analog input to convert the 0-5 volt signal! so i have no knock control, but i can see when it is getting the input from my knock detector!! but i need to know the rate setting, which i can use on that analog port.

There is no rate, it is 0-5 voltage...analog

interesting. can u explain how you set this up? what hardware?

i´ve bought the phormula ks-4. it´s a great little piece of hardware from great britain. it has a display on it and also a data out wire, 0-5 volts. so i run this wire on the d12 pin, set the analog in values to
0 volt -> 0 and
5 volts -> 100, and i see the knocking in the logs.
but the data out is a pulsed signal, just like the boost control (pwm), and it can make 5 datas/sec and up to 100 datas/sec. but i try it with 100, and look what happens ;)

Can you post the map and the logs. I am interested to see how its shows up on the graph and the sensor overlay. guess it is a start.
Hondata can handle P.W.M. signals (proof is pwm boost signals), but sadly,
curently its analogue in cant ??? :(
this feature may need a hardware upgrade on the hondata board?
can hondata chime in?

This is not possible.

i cannot start the engine atm, cause the car is in winterbreak, and i do some works on it. but the knock sensor lays on my valvecover, so i slightly hitted it on it, to get some readings. s300 showed the same numbers, as i got on my knock detector display!! sample rate was @ 5/sec.

this log was made with the sensor set to 0 - 100 instead of voltage!!
