Ignition Advance problem

Hi, I drive a Civic FD2 Auto 155HP Asia .. I seem to be having a problem with ignition advance dropping to zero with load with pedal.. It made the car lose power when that happened...

What might have caused this?

The ignition is low because of knock retard. If you look at around 8:54 you'll see that in the high cam it is ok but on the low cam a combination of static and dynamic retard is retarding the ignition about 20 degrees.
I suggest decreasing the knock sensitivity on the high cam, decreasing the ignition retard on the low cam to a maximum of 10 degrees (like the high cam) and also increasing the knock ignition limit on the low cam.

Thanks for the quick response and advice.

I've been datalogging after returning the ECU to stock too, I noticed that when it's stock the ignition limit stays constant at 25 degrees constant throughout.

Why does the current calibration I'm using and also the base calibration provided with the FP Manager ignition limit fluctuate a lot?

Have you tried the Civic-Si-RRH-Tuned calibration?

The one on the 1st post is the RRH Tuned one. With some idle AFR tweaks and currently trying to get rid of knocks.

Try starting with the RRH-Tuned calibration again, because when I compare Latest.fpcal from your first post the knock tables are different from the RRH-Tuned calibration.

Hmm I see.. Which part is it different? I can't find the difference in the knock tables.

Is there anyway to compare 2 calibrations? Might come in handy sometimes..

Made a comparison with excel to compare RRH-Tuned and my calibration their knock calibrations are identical.

By the way, why did you recommend to lower the knock sensitivity for the high cam? I thought the knock retard problem is on the low cam..

By lowering the knock sensitivity you mean increasing the value?

There is this !(o) light(exclamation mark with a steering wheel) that pops up once in a while when I'm not stock(using fp calibration).

Will hondata be fixing this issue and also add cruise control function for the automatic soon?

EPS indicator: I have not heard of that problem before. You will need to use the Honda scan tool to find out what error is generated by the EPS.

Cruise control: No solution for this at the moment.

I still suggest reducing the knock retard on the low cam and increasing the knock ignition limit of the low cam. I do not believe the knock sensitivity needs to be changed.

Thanks! for the quick response and advise.

The EPS indicator comes on very rarely with no symptoms then turns off after a few seconds when running the flashpro map. But not after returning to stock.

No errors detected on the datalog.
