obd 1 92 civic / b16a obd 0 swap.. need help
I have a 1992 obd 1 civic hatchback. I picked up a 89-91 jdm b16a with with wire harness and ecu ect. i was told the motor uses a obd o ecu. can i convert the motor to use a obd 1 ecu and be compatible with the car.
I have a 92 Civic VX Hatch. My swap is a B18A1 [1991 Integra LS]. My car is OBD1, the engine is OBD0. To get the swap in, you will need to:
*Get either a hydro tranny or a cable to hydro conversion.
*Get an OBD1 distributor
*Get an OBD1 ECU [like a P28]
*Use OBD1 [high impedance] injectors, or else use the B16's injectors with a resistor box
*You may have an issue with the motor mounts
*Use your Civic's wiring harness
*Get a GSR throttle cable
*Use 94+ Integra axles
*Use B16's shift linkage
*Use B16's radiator hoses
As you can see it's a pain in the ass, but once it's in, it's great.
