Hi, I have swapped a EK4 -00 with k20a2. And the VTC wont go past 22degrees. CAMCMD is set to 35-40degrees in hugh lobe area. but CAM just seems to get stuck at 22. its moving from 0-22degrees but not higher. What do you think is the problem?

Mods:
K20a2-swap
stage2 cams
ERL S2000 oilpump
RBC manifold
R-Crew header
PRA ecu w K-pro

Could be one of four things.

1. Wrong VTC cam gear (from TSX)
2. Damaged cam gear
3. Cam gear has been pinned for a maximum advance of 22.
4. There is a problem with the VTC solenoid, either dirty, bent or worn.

Thank you! I appreciate your answer! :D

Its a 50degree RBC gear, so no.1 its eliminated. Im gonna try to change the VTCsolenoid first, if the problem doesnt go away I´ll change the camgear.

Could be one of four things.

1. Wrong VTC cam gear (from TSX) - Its a RBC aka 50degree gear
2. Damaged cam gear
3. Cam gear has been pinned for a maximum advance of 22. -No, it was taken from a fully functional K20a2.
4. There is a problem with the VTC solenoid, either dirty, bent or worn. -I have tried a fully functional VTC solenoid with no difference.

So only thing left to try is the cam gear if thats damaged.

Can it be bad cams from blueprint? Maybe the holes for the oil isnt in the right place..
