I'm using a KPro PRB and a Hondata boost controller solenoid.
So if I have, say, a 5 psi spring in the wastegate, how much over and above that can the boost converter create. I know how they work, duty-cycling vacuum to the WG, but to what duty-cycle can they work. That is, with a 5 psi spring, does that mean I can go to a max effective boost of, 10 psi? 15 psi? 20 psi?
I looked at a link on Hondata, but it doesn't say what duty cycle should be considered maximum (or minimum) so I'm right back to my original question.
Another link, http://www.hondata.com/help/kmanager/in ... ontrol.htm, it "appears" that duty cycle ranges from 15%-85%, implying that effective boost will be: Spring Pressure * 1 / min duty cycle. If so, that means with a 5 psi spring, I can do an effective boost of 5 / 0.15 = ~30 psi. Than again the numbers above might just be an example.
So what are the limitations?
