I would like to make 300whp on 8lbs of boost using ethanol 90 gas. I have
two choices
1) Stock B16A2 + GT35 Turbo+JDM P72/S300j
or
2) B16A2 with PCT pistsons(B16B) + GT35 Turbo+JDM P72/S300j
Which of the two can safely make the power on 8lbs of boost and serve as a daily drive weekend warrior?
300whp @ 8lbs of boost???
Doubt it without building up the bottom end and pushing more boost.
With a B16A2 (160HP) and Turbo boosting 8PSI you are looking at ballpark 230~260HP.
To get 300HP it would require some additional work.
I would personally be happy with the HP I posted above with the amount of cash you are going to put in. Then again this is coming from a guy who has a D16Y8 pushing 280HP (finally).

The ablity of the engine to make power is not just limited by the amount produced by a turbo, it's more on the tune and on the condition of the engine its self. A stock b16 should be more than capable of 300whp, either by 8psi or 14psi. I've seen stock b16's making 320whp at 10-12 psi on a t3/t4.....
the amount of power is directly connected to the amount of air sucked or pushed into the engine.
in combination with the right amount of fuel, you'll get the power, or better said torque, out of the engine.
in germany petrol is also called "kraftstoff", so "power-stuff" somehow.
only with that "stuff" you'll gain power. without it, you won't.
since we need a certain AFR, you'll need that petrol and your turbo needs to give you the needed air there.
now it's some maths to calculate the needed air for 300whp and then to look for a capable turbo, which gives you the needed air at 8lbs of boost.

well im trying to bulid my car but i keep haveing run ends with unfortionate things in life
i have made 294 with a stock bottem end and only 5psi no bullshit but the top end was built with no porting or polishing and stock valves but with supertech springs and retainers, also i had cams and a 70mm throttle body all by skunk2 i have the dyno to prove it....93 oct and cam gears by s2....no boost controller yet just the 5-7psi spring in wastegate

What Size Turbo Are You Using?
