Hardware issue?

Hey, I have two problems:

Everything was working fine except for the boost control, I tried different settings on Hondata with frequencies from 30-78hz. I can look at the live graphs showing the PWM duty cycle but the solenoid is not activating. The solenoid works, and there is 12v to it. (The issue is not the vacuum lines the solenoid is just not being energized)

The main problem now is Hondata won’t connect to a laptop, or run the car like normal. I have used this Hondata for probably 5 months with no problems.(Never tried boost control until this week...)

USB device not recognize in windows.
-I’ve tried multiple laptops with Vista and XP

The Car runs but not well, doesn’t idle, not smooth, undrivable.

Importand things about the car:
-OBD2b Harness
-OBD1 distributer
-OBD2b to OBD1 Adapter harness
-No hardware, software or any wiring has changed since it was running fine

I had a car that ran on turboedit… If I didn’t put the chip in the ecu, the car would run like it does now with this S300, which leads me to believe there is an issue with the S300.

-I’ve looked at the soldering and don’t notice anything loose or desoldered, no blown capacitors, don’t see anything burnt.
-I cut j12, it was running/datalogging fine with it connected
-USB drivers are up to date
-SManager is up to date
-The pins on the s300 socket and usb connection seem fine (check continuity with a multimeter)
-Battery is fully charged
-Attached is my current tune that was running the car fine.
-S300 was professionally installed by Evans Tuning

Any ideas or suggestions?

If you need anymore information, or anything let me know

Thanks,

Shawn

Interesting, I have a similar issue. Although my car runs fine. I can't get the s300 to be recognised properly by the computer anymore to make further adjustments.

When were the boost components added to the ECU?

The same time as the S300, It is all from evans tuning.

I would suggest taking it back to Evans Tuning to have them look at the ECU and they can also test the s300 while they are at it. If he finds any problems with teh s300 he can contact us for troubleshooting or an RMA number.
