i updated to 1.1.6.2 beta version of fp manager and fp firmware. i returned to 1.1.5.8 fp manager. i noticed that the fp's firmware is still at 1.1.6.2.
is it ok to use fp manager 1.1.5.8 with the fp's firmware still 1.1.6.2 beta. or do i need to downgrade fp's firmware back to 1.1.5.8 to match fp manager?
the 1.1.5.8 fpcal files download to fp just fine, wanted to make sure before i upload fpcal to ecu. current ecu fpcal is version 1.1.5.8

No. You can't downgrade FPM versions after upgrading the firmware. It will do really weird stuff and you will not be able to stop it.

You should never 'downgrade' software versions. This can cause problems both re-loading calibrations saved with new versions and using newer FlashPro firmware than the application expects.

If you can't downgrade to an older version, that really makes it VERY risky to ever try a Beta version.
