Hi people, i currently have my honda del sol at a tuning company for the mapping. I purchased a p28 ecu already with hondata s300 installed from someone on civiclife. The guy at the mapping company has come to tune it today and said there is a problem with either the ecu or the hondata s300. He said its been socketed correctly, and it turns on fine, he can see theres a map already on there, and he can upload new maps, but he said it wont data stream. As in it wont read any of the cars sensors, so its just saying map sensor zero, intake temp zero. He doesnt know if this is a problem with the p28 ecu or the Hondata s300. Any ideas?

I'll double check with the tuner, but hes taken it apart and said that the ecu has been socketed correctly, all correct jumpers and capicitors in place. If he can read and upload maps to the s300, but its not picking up any live data from the sensors, does this look like the s300 might be ok, but my P28 broke?

Very interesting thread. I'm having some of the same problems with my p28 right now. All new setup and i know its uploading stuff cuz i changed the injector size and it worked to make the car run. Mine also wont read dtc's when the check engine light comes on. A tuner is supposed to look at my car on saturday so I am very interested to see where this thread goes.

It is possible that you have a damaged ECU that has a damged serial output.
