this is the 2nd time this has happend.. im not sure of the problem, and i have followed all hondata's instructions on what to do and what not to do to harm the ecu..

when i plug in my usb to my laptop it will stay offline, and the computer will say usb mass storage device, and then when i click download software it will say ready to use and still offline. ive tried updating drivers, switching cables, nothing happens.

my serial number is 05006920 or 4408.. not sure which one.

PRB ecu, greddy turbo kit, 440cc injectors with resistor box, NGK 2669 resistor plugs, the ground is on the stock position though due to over tightening the vc bolt and breaking it :(

could that be my problem? or do i need to send it in?

my e-mail is b00steddc5@yahoo.com

The problem is the USB drivers. You need to manual re-install them. First try to 'Update USB Drivers' menu (from the Help menu).

last night i also uninstalled kmanager and re-installed it. then tried updating the driver again and still no luck. when i click on update driver on kmanager it is like almost instantly the box pops up and says driver updated..

i also tried going through the control panel and looking at the drivers, kpro will show up as usb bus controller or usb something else i forgot lol

anyway i tried updating the driver through windows and it said the driver was up to date and was working properly.

Please download and install the new beta versio of software from our website. THen go to Help, and click on Test USB. Follow the prompts and after unplugging the USB and plugging it back in it should work.

I am very curious to see how this problem was resolved to see if its a solution I can duplicate with my s300. Because I seem to have the same problem.

This has nothing to do with an s300. Do not attempt anything that was done with a K-Pro.

Well I was thinking that maybe there was a trick in windows that I haven't tried yet. Or maybe something to check on the engine I havn't checked yet. Im grasping at straws right now. I've tried everything that I can think of and haven't been given a possible cause to the problem or new to try via tech support. I've been reading everything I can in the forums but can't find a solution.

nevertheless they probably are unrelated. this usb problem just a little frusteraing situation for me.
