H22 injector help

Post by RunningWild »

Hello, i been searching and reading the FAQ but i cant seem to find the answer im looking for. Im running a Sleeved h22a on 15psi, built, on 50psi fp, with 1000cc Precision Turbo injectors. I was running DSM 450cc's before and my car rad fine with a Res pack. The injectors stats are as follows,

Open Time Latency (ms) @ Voltage --> 1.63ms @ 8.7v 1.00ms @ 10.4v .80ms @ 12.2v .70ms @ 13.9v .60ms @ 15.6v .56ms @ 17.4v .56ms @ 19.1v .53ms @ 20.9v

These numbers are different than the ones im using on my map. the Background info on these injectors is as follows,

043-0950 1000cc Low 2Ω 1.130 0.998 Ball & Seat N/L

They are the proper injectors for my car, with a Res pack in line, (5v) and i cant get it to idle if i set the injector size to 1000cc, but if i type in 450, or 550cc, the car will run, not well but it will run. Im using "stock" prelude map, with a 3bar Map sensor.

When i try to match the injector voltage and dead time, to what i got from precision, the dead time will change but the volts wont. I might just be overlooking something stupid, but i dont wanna risk breaking anything before asking. So i guess what im trying to ask is how do i get these injectors to work.

BTW its a 1996 Civic coupe, downgraded to OBD1

Make sure you have the correct map sensor selected in the calibration.

yes, 3.0bar map. trust me, it was one of the things we ran into first when we loaded the map. i tested the injectors again the dsm 450cc's i had and the stock 310cc's that were in there. the 310's came back with a resistance of 3.4oms, the dsm's 3.4oms, and the precisions at 3.5oms, so they are all low impedance. this my confusion. any other idea's?

LArger injectors have different flow rates at low opening times and you may have to make your fuel table look a bit strange to get it to work.

so should i decrease the fuel table first or increase it, im anly asking cuz it may of been something you guys have seen before. any reason why the voltage section wont let me adjust it when im trying to change it to precisions dead times(ms)?
