D12 EGR for wideband & Sensor only question?

When the car was turned at Church i had no wideband and Shawn tuned it with close loop disabled obviously.

Now im considering throwing a wideband on the car since i already put in a second O2 bung.

My questions:

Can i use D12 EGR input instead of the ELD D10?

If i use d12 EGR do i need to cut any resistors like 136 and 138 for wideband on ELD D10?

Lastly which sensor do you guys recommend? I don't want any additional gauges i plan on using the Tunerview II so can i just buy a sensor and call it a day?

Will this sensor work http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AVM-30-2001/

Thanks Guys

You can't just use any sensor you want. You must use a wideband and a controller. We recommend the PLX Devices widebands.

Thanks that is the answer i was looking for, shame i can't just throw a sensor on by itself.

Which model of the PLX is the most barebone without a guage that will work?

Would something like this work? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AVM-30-2310/

and how does the AEM compare to the PLX?

I don't recommend the AEM, have seen a lot of people have issues with it. Any of the PLX widebands will work.

appreciate the info ill get the PLX if i decide to go with the WB route.

X2! I would like to know more about this, has anyone hooked their wideband to d12 and is willing to share how they did it?

Bringing this post back up b/c i see in the new beta Smanager 1.4.8.0 there is a option to use D14 (O2) now. What mods need to be done to the ECU now to get a PLX wideband to work using this pin?

Thanks

D14 should only be used for the narrowband input from the wideband controller and nothing needs to be done.

So if D14 can not be used for Wideband input why is it an option in that section?

Also with regards to B6, if i simply cut the resistors will that be good enough or will the accuracy be improved if the resistors are cut and the diodes are put its place?

Pin B6 can be used as a 0-5V analog input. Note that the ECU must have R2 and R3 removed or replaced with 1N4148 diodes

Thanks

Accuracy should be the same if the resistors are removed or diodes put in. All inputs have to be listed , that is just how the software works.

Makes sense, thanks for the prompt reply
