i just installed a reflash in my k20a3 and soon after i threw a P0010 CEL code which is a malfunction of the VTC solenoid- i was wondering if it had anything to do with the reflash on the ECU or is it just an electrical bug with the solenoid?

That should not be caused by the reflash. I would follow the Helms manual for troubleshootign that error code.

im replacing the VTC solenoid as per the manual- hopefully that will be it
