I did uninstall and reinstall, but same result. Which registry keys do you add to Vista so that after I redo the uninstallation, I can go back and take out those keys if your uninstall didn't take them all out?
I uninstalled 1.4.7.0 and reinstalled 1.3.8 and that old version worked just fine. Then I went and installed the new one again, and it gave the same crash message.

I am using 32-bit and have tried running as an administrator like you suggested.
Also, just in case it matters, I am a Network/Systems Administrator and deal with computers every day for a living.

I have tested this on Windows Vista 32bit making sure to get all Windows Updates and it is working perfectly. You must have something else running, such as antivirus software that is causing the problem. The only thing I had to do was right click the executable, go to properties and set it to run as administrator. If I cannot reproduce the problem there isn't much else I can try.

No, we do not offer old versions of the software.
What processes do you have running in task manager?
