Stock motor runs super lean/rich when s300 installed

I have 2 different question.
so i have a 97 civic ex d16y8. (swap coming soon) so that means i have a p28 obd1 ecu with a obd2a converter built on the ecu. just wanted to screw around with s300 and play with the datalogging section. when i install the ecu my air/fuel would not stay stable. super rich to super lean. so i uploaded the pre configuration for the d series with vtec....that didnt work so i bought plx system. thats how the air/fuel was off. what pin should i wire the plx wires to since its obd2a converted?
Why else do you think my air/fuel is going crazy?? lol
