No red or green leds come on when plugged into USB. My laptop recognize the connection but when i hit F10 to datalog nothing happens. I can't even download calibrations. Car runs fine to 4000 rpms then rev limits. Was working fine since january. I have a B18c skunk intake w/hondata heatshield, MSD pro billet distributor, turbonetics T3/T4 running 9lbs boost walbro 255 w/ RC750. Any help would be appreciated.

I plugged the USB cable into the ECU and turned the ignition on. Bottom left says online. I tried to download fresh calibration but it doesnt download. Ive read it maybe the ECU socketing. How do you repair ECU socketing? Can I do it myself? Is it really the socketing? Why wont my car rev past 4000 rpms?

After freshly openign Smanager, click on New Calibration, choose one of the calibrations listed there and upload it to the ECU. See if that corrects the problem.

Spunkster, thanks for your reply. I tried to load a new calibration from the file and it wont work. I wanted to mention that recently around three weeks ago I installed a MSD pro billet distributor. Could this be the reason my ECU got damage? Is there anybody running MSD distributors on their GSR's?

Its a P72 JDM. I got from Hmotors when I bought my GSR swap.
My local shop sent it to Hondata for installation due to JDM is smaller. Car ran good for 6 months. I purchased a MSD pro billet and installed it and weeks later and around 100 miles my ECU just went into limp mode. Wont rev past 4000 rpms and no red or green led on ECU. ECU will not take new calibrations or Datalog when I click on the lightning bolt. I called MSD and my local tuners that have built 9 sec Honda's they all say MSD will not dammage ECU's. They use it without any problem. Any idea? really need input. I didn't set the timing on the ECu. I only set timing with a light @ middle mark on pulley. I don't know if want to use the MSD or pu the stock dizzy back. Any ideas ? Thanks
