Stock si with knock on 2

I had my stock si tuned by a reputable company. The cal had -5 timing pulled from 2 and -2 from 3. I asked about this and was told the k20z3 tends to knock on those cyl so he pulls the timing from them. Does Hondata agree with this? I have set them back to 0 and have noticed a few knocks on 2 but only under part throtthle around 3k. By a few knock I mean 20 min of various driving and I get 3-5 knocks on 2 never at wot.

I guess nobody has any idea if the k20z3 is prone to knock on cylinders 2 or 3. Hello...anybody out there?

Pulling 5 degrees in 1 cylinder is a bit much. You would need to adjust the timing in the area's where it is actually knocking.
You should also not ignore knock counts even if only on Cyl.2. If they are knocking at the same place then you need to have it tuned again.

What the tuner has done does not sound right. You may want to take it to a different tuner.

sounds like a bandaid tune. I heard a long time ago that cylinder 3 runs a little hot on the K20A2 motor and that adding 1 to 2% fuel helps keep it cooler.
I've notice my car will knock in Cylinder 2 only basically. out of like 10 long logs I've maybe seen 2 knock counts in cylinder 3.
I think there is some adjusting that needs done to the knock sensitivity and or knock tables if your A/F ratios are spot on and your not running any more timing than what is found in say the MAF tuned calibration.
