hi,

just installed kmanager on a clean laptop (xp). clean means no previous version of kmanager were installed and never ever any ecus were connected.

kmanager wont start and i can hear windows error beep in background. nothin' happens and only what's left after starting kmanager is kmanager.exe process.

any hints?

tried to install the same version 1.4.0 on vista pc and its the same issue but i get an error:
couldn't start application
failed (error 0)

no antispams,antiviruses,firewalls installed

Right click 'My Computer', open 'Properties', select 'Advanced' then 'Settings' under 'Performance'. On 'Data Execution Prevention' select 'Turn on DEP for essential ...'.

nope, i didn't help :(

What do you have data executuon prevention set to?

tried both settings, neither of them works.

have to trace what's blockiin' it.

ive installed kmanager on third (dont have fourth one to check ;-)) laptop with vista and it works without any problems.

i get the same error, i can only run in safemode, any fix?

Make sure you have all the latest windows updates.

all up to date
