Couple starter questions

Just starting to use the S300, have done some reading/searching but didn't find a clear answer. First, not trying to tune anything that's that wild, D16Z6 mini-me w/ a Bisi cam, NO boost.

Am HOPING to tune it just through street driving. I started with a stock P28 cal, and it does run on that cal. The "display" shows air fuel ratio (AF) during real time, correct? Why does every "how to" say a wideband must be used? Understand the stock one is a narrow band, but for small changes will it not read correctly for some reason? I could see it for boost, but in a NA application???

I figured I could start the car, turn on the datalog, and go back and forth adjusting the low speed fuel until it reads 1.00. I should be able to do this correct? Warmed up, my car is reading about .82-.83, I tried to adjust to get it to 1.00 (14.7 air fuel mixture) but seemingly no change happens as I adjust. Thoughts?

You cannot tune using a narrow band sensor. You need a wideband to properly read air fuel ratios.
