Convert V3 ROM ....

Post by RockStarTuning »

This question is for Hondata or Spunkster to help clarify what or why am I seeing my 240cc inj. changing to 340cc during the convert process? Oh and also the overall trim is showing (-1). Here take a look below.

I have saved both senarios and gave them both a try to see which one might be my correct V3 ROM my file coverted.

Sad to say neither turned out to be my smooth, hassell free up garde conversion to Smanager.

I have one other problem. My Laptop that I had a fully legit working copy of ROMeditor. But that laptop no long works. Reason why I had upgraded to S300. So I have no way to look at the file and see what change and what didn't when it got coverted. Can you perhaps help me out and take some screen shoots and send themto me? If I had that I would just start a new file and forget about trying to convert it that way.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Thank You! You guys!

In Smanager, when you open the bin file to convert it, do not make any changes, just clock ok and let it convert it, then upload it, It should run nearly identically to the bin. The differences in injector size are from the changes to the injector multiplier.

Hey thanks Spunkster! Yeah after playing with different convert for a while I came to that same conclusion about the injector size were the result of changes made in V3 to the injector multiplier.

So I did try what you instructed me to do. To just click convert it and not make any changes. The turn out to doing this way was sorta mixed. On one hand when the car was fully warmed up it idle a little rich and at throttle tip in. I took away about -3 off the overall fuel trim. But for me to get to this point with the engine warmed up and idle at 14.7AFR. I started froma cold start when I had first up loaded the converted file. What had me scratching my head at was froma cold start it was running super lean at near 16AFR on the meter. I was having to add +5 to Post Start Fuel and about +6 to Overall fuel trim. As the car continued to warm up i had to slowly start taking away fuel to keep from it be to rich.

So something in the conversion is causing this to happen. Where or what it might be I haven't a clue. I wished back when I did save and backup V3 bin I also should of exported the file to a csv format. You know the tables into a Excel Spreadsheet. Maybe then I could see what might be happening or what might be different before and after the converted. As much as I do like testing and trouble shooting. I hadn't the time to look deeper into it. I ended up scraping this approch and just started with a new stock P30 file and just tune the car from there. Probably should of just did this way from the start.

Thanks again Spunkster for your reply.
