Hey guys my first post here, I just baught a used Kpro locally, it did not come with the original USB cord or CD, I downloaded the software 1.4 from the Hondata website and used a regular A-B USB cable. I connected to ECU to laptop, drivers installed fine. I connected the ECU alone and it says online. I connect the ECU to the car and then to the laptop, it says online but does not read that the ignition is on even when it is. The car starts and runs but I have NO IDEA the specifics of the current tune that is on there. I just want to upload one of the built in maps onto the car until I can bring it to get dynotuned.
Cliffs:
2002 RSX type S
37820-PRB-A07
used Kpro - connect says online but doesn't realize ignition is on
emotionally distressed - waited long time for kpro

Usually indicates that the harness ground on the intake manjifold is no good or that the KPro was damaged by the previous owner from the same cause.

Is there instructions someplace about the harness ground and how to make sure it is in the correct place?

thank you for the fast replies, I confirmed today at a local RSX meet that the ground is in the correct location, I am using stock injectors, NGK spark plugs, installed the USB drivers, and connected the ECU with the same problem, I also tried a authentic hondata USB cable.
I have an idea as to what may be the problem.
I am currently running at Mugen HOA ecu, I beleive there is small modification done to the harness, (moving a pin from one place to another one of the connectors, could this affect it?

Call us for troubleshooting, then we can issue a RMA if necessary.
