one black stripe = zero ohms...it's just a jumper.

i was wondering if someone had the actual resistor value

It's a zero ohm resistor, i.e. - a jumper wire. You can solder in a direct connection like a small piece of wire, or if you're picky [like me] you can go to radio shack and pick up a zero ohm resistor and solder it in place.

This resistor value [of zero ohms] is the same for all Honda OBD1 ECUs, whether they are manual or automatic. The difference between manual and automatic is where the jumper is located [either in RP17 or RP18]

2 resistors 2 values ; )

for P08 set up for manual...

says : "For JDM OBD1 ECUs:
RP18 (in the same location as usdm) needs to be lowered in value from 2.4k to 1.4k ohms"

now for rp17!

does it stay the same? and if so what should it be :D

eek, not sure about the jdm ecus...someone on here probably knows. try doing a forum search, I think this was previously dicussed.
