will i loose my tune

to follow up from a post before that didn't really make sense.... i have a 02 civic ex d17a2 turbo. i am currently using k-pro version 1.2.8.0. in the car... i bought a new lab top and downloaded a diffenet version of k-pro. i downloaded version 1.3.7.0..... i downloaded from th ecu in the car to my lab top and made some simple changes with rev limit and a few other things... when i uploaded back to the car, the car does not start..... when i upload my old tune (from a computer with version 1.2.8.0) it starts and works fine.... my question is how do i get the two versions to work together or do i have to retune the car
