Bug: ECT cold retard values do not retard ignition.

@Hondata,

FlashPro Manager v 1.1.2.7

I don't know if this is just mis labeled in FPro Manager or what, and I've only tested the ECT cold retard ignition tables (cold high and cold low), and the default values (which are positive) do not actually retard ignition even though they're labeled as "Retard in degrees".

When I lightly tap the throttle those positive values actually ADVANCE the timing. Past the maximum 46* value I have in my low cam angle maps. Refer to 'positive_values' attachment to see this. I made notes in the datalog itself. Note the values that exceed my 46* maximum.

When I go in and make those values negative in the tables, they do work to retard the ignition. Refer to 'negative_values', I've made comments in that datalog as well.

Basically the ECT cold retard values in all the base maps are actually advancing the timing, and not retarding it.

I have not tested the ECT hot retard tables or the air temperature ignition retard tables, you guys might want to double check those? They're also labeled as "retard in degrees".

I'll test this next week, but I believe that it is mis-labeled - it should be 'ECT cold advance'.

Normally the ECU advances when the ECT is cold, retards when the ECU is high, and also retards when the IAT is hot.

Sounds good, I figured it was a mis labeled item. Just wanted to post up actual evidence for you to see.
