Ignition coils not working

Post by jdm97r »

Hi to all,

My friend has a Euro spec Ep3 Type R with Kpro
He was driving around and all in a sudden the car stopped
We check all the usual things
Fuel pump is priming and also injectors are working
The problem we found is that on all 4 ignition coils there is no positive signal so it is not getting any spark at all

Any help please?

BTW The car has a full race turbo kit installed and injectors are RC1000 with the old model resistor box .

The Kpro we bought it off from a JDM DC5, so immobilizer light always blink but we had no problem for the first 2 weeks of using the car.

Thanks for your help

Try the ECU in a known good car. Clear security and upload a fresh base calibration and try that.

Another thing please.

I was checking on Hondata web site and found out about the o2 sensors from a Euro spec ecu and a US or Jdm Ecu that have to route some ecu pinouts for the O2 sensor.

Shall I do this before I try the Ecu in another car?

Thanks

Yes , I checked both fuse boxes.
The one inside and the other one under the hood.
All fuses are ok.

When I turn the ignition key , everything is normal,
Cel on, fuel pump prime and then Cel off, bu no start.

Can it be the wiring of the O2 sensor?

I use a JDM DC5 ecu in a Euro spec CTR
