hello there i am having trouble after installing my s300 where some codes poped out of no where, the codes are:
ELD
Oxygen sensor
Idle control sensor
i changed both oxygen and idle sensor, but they are both showing up again, so i predicted there might be something wrong with the adapter! So i followed the ecu pin out supplied in the hondata software and found out that all three sensors that are giving me errors are actually missing from my ecu, there is nothing in them as if they are cancelled...
So what should i do now, should i wire them myself? Should i cancel them using hondata? Im lost and this issue is worrying me...
Thank you
H22a7 UK limited s300 with adapter, obd2 to obd1 conversion
Some Vehicles do not have a ELD you will have to look around on the net to see if you even have one. Usually based on the country or location it was assembled.
For the o2 sensor what error are you getting what o2 sensor are you running? I assume its the heater for the o2 you can just diable if that is the issue.
IACV error may mean the wiring is wrong. I recommend getting a universal meter to verify the wiring is not backwards for the signal or ECU + ECU -

really hard to tell from that ginormous bit of fuzz u posted, but the
O2 & ELD wires are there.
that looks like an obd1 D-plug so u must be using a conversion harness, not converted ecu,the O2 wire being at D14 & ELD at D10.
whether u have ELD or not in fuse box is another thing.
u can dismantle the engine bay fuse box & see if its there if u wish or just check for the 3-pin plug going into bottom of fuse box to ELD pickup.
u can disable the error report on the ELD in Smanager, but it does not disable the ELD function in the ecu as such, only seems to be a prob when using ELD input for other purposes.
u have to look at the plug up the other end of ecu(A-plug) for idle valve(A9) & O2 heater wires(A6).
u most likely have wiring faults, which seem to be really frequent possibility with using conversion harnesses......
idle valve & O2 sensor heater are on same circuit,so i would probably start with looking in that direction

the pic is unclear & very large(please reduce them in future)
doesnt really show much
u should post some better pics of what u mean, but from what i see in that pic,the 2 wires,3rd & 4th from bottom left are the O2 sensor & ELD inputs to the obd1 ecu,so u must be looking at wrong inputs or "ports" as u call them,or u mean something entirely different.
u have to look at plug up other end to see O2 heater & idle valve wires, that pic only shows 1 plug not all three.

yes,u will obviously get errors if they are not wired to the ecu.
ecu tests for their presence & functionality.
nobody can help u further if u do not provide any info but a pic showing 2 of the wires actually being wired correctly.
forget the ELD for now & just disable the error check under the parameters/misc. tab.
if u really want a functioning ELD,then u will have to see if the pick-up is present in the fuse box(as i described above) & it is wired correct.
the idle valve & O2,u will have to check the wiring is also present on the A-plug & for correct wiring from the conversion harness plugs to the original obd2 ecu plugs.
if all was working correct before u plugged in the conversion harness & obd1 ecu, then take a long hard look at the conversion harness, they are well known troublemakers.
even try plugging in the original obd2 ecu if u still have it & see if the error codes still exist, although if ELD is not originally installed to car, then original ecu will not be testing for it.

The 2 wires are not wired correctly, what I was showing in the pic is that there are no wires going in there, its empty...fly_n wrote:yes,u will obviously get errors if they are not wired to the ecu.

I will forget about the ELD for now, especially since the H22a7 is on a CRX, which probably means there is no ELD to start with, but I will recheck!
I will also check the stock ecu and check what errors does it produce...
Thank for ur help Fly_n, I've never worked with Hondas before take it easy... and the pic is showing the wires that are not there, not the wires that are actually there!
thats the thing...
the 2 wires are there
i can quite clearly see D10(ELD) & D14(O2 sensor input) in that pic, maybe u need to check how your counting the pin numbers, even D22(sensor ground) is there.
again, cant see if A6(O2 heater control) or A9(idle valve) are there from that pic,u will have to check those.
if its gen1 or 2 CRX,there will be no ELD,if its delsol then maybe possible, just disable error check.
HCRX....nice setup,hope its a gen2

wow, am simply blind bro I kept on counting them wrong for a while :S.. anyhow yeah its a GEN2, and now we got rid of both codes, the problem turned out to be a problem in the 02 sensor, I changed it and both ELD and Oxygen sensor went off, but Knock sensor kept on comming back on, so I disabled it...
