99 civic si
JRSC @ 6 psi
AEM CAI
Walbro 255LPH (idle pressure @ ~ 55 psi)
DSM 450 injectors
Hondata s200b and p28
(dyno'd at 189 whp and / 135 tq on a dynapack)
Okay so before I had the Hondata, I ran the stock JRSC setup and saw 24-25 mpg
When I got my Hondata 2b (before the s200), DSM injectors, and loaded the base map, I started to see much better mpg, somewhere in the 27 mpg range...
After tuning the car at church automotive, I briefly saw the 27 mpg range with the car setup in Open Loop.
However after troubleshooting the car, we decided to switch back to open loop under normal driving conditions.... I began to see 23-25 mpg.
After heated debate and thinking that the VTEC crossover maybe an issue. I upgraded to the s200, so the vtec would only be engaged while in boost. I also had church automotive lean out the fuel maps a little bit. So now I've hit my all time worst. I get anywhere from 19-25 mpg, most times around 20-21 mpg. Granted I do 60-70% city driving... But I'm confused of what other issues might be for my loss in mileage.
Could the following effect my mileage:
- tuning, and/or closed loop open loop
- possibility of a bad 02 sensor
- valve adjustment (my car currently is close to 57k miles and am due for a valve adjustment)
- fuel filter
- high fuel pressure (i do have an AEM FPR, but have just been using a stock fpr w/o many problems)
- sticky IACV (it's kinda dirty i know, but plan on cleaning or replacing)
At this rate, I'm getting about as good mileage as a mustang or worse with even less whp/tq to boot.... please help me out as I've been trying to trouble shoot my situation for 6 months
