hi,
my civic h22a engine can't idle below 1000rpm. I have try to make adjustment in the idle setting of ecu s300. But the problem still can't be solved. Why is this so? now i have to idle at 1200 rpm to prevent stalling.my engine mod is:

- skunk2 camshafts pro-series stage 1
- skunk2 intake manifold
- 70mm throttle body
- pistons compression 11.5 :1

I have ever heard from a friend of mine saying that skunk2 pro-series camshafts is hard to idle smoothly at 850 rpm, is that true even with s300? My other problem is whenever i switch on head lamp and fog lamp together, the idling rpm will drop slightly (s'times it drops below 1000rpm and stall). How to solve this problems? Everything is ok with the tuning except this idling problem i have.

thanx

Many aftermarket cams will not idle at a stock level. You can try following the Helms manual for setting the idle, but if that still does not work then you will just need to have a higher idle.
