S2000 dual ECU K-Pro, stock ECU going back to Toda reflash?

Post by DC5RK20A »

I see that the cost to reflash the stock ECU back to stock costs $100, how much would it cost to have the ECU flashed back to the Toda reflash? I sure hope it won't cost the same price once again, as I only saved $100 on the K-Pro cost going from the reflash. Is $200 an ok price for this?

Reason being, I am moving from Guam back to Japan, I was going to take the S2000 there, but I am feeling lazy and don't want to do the legwork once back in Japan to get it registered on the road, which will cost almost $3000. Whereas I can buy another S2000 or ultimately a NS-X. Well anyways, the car market here on Guam is pitiful really. Lowballers galore. I originally asked for $24000 and that was with exactly how the car sat, 16700 miles, '07 model, Amuse exmani, J's dual 70RS, PWJDM intake, heat shield, radiator panel, the K-Pro, CR fr/rr stabilizers, Enkei RPF1, (2) Bride carbon ZetaIII buckets, Momo 300mm wheel with WorksBell quick release. Audio consisted of the new JVC AVX77, top of Alpine's component 6.5" and a PDX 4.100 amp. Was also going to throw in the netbook for tuning purposes.

Was 24k a decent asking price? I think it was a royal steal. :) Or maybe I am just delusional.

So anyways I am selling it for 20k, but I pulled the KPro, steering wheel and quick release and thinking about yanking the seats as well and leaving everything else. I do have a buyer and 2 other's interested. So I would like to have the ECU reflashed back to the Toda flash, but not for another $600. I was thinking of taking it off the price of the 20k to whoever buys it and let them know they will need to send it in to Hondata or else live with no VTEC and 7000rpms. That would suck.
