CAMCMD spikes to 45 degrees

This has happened on 2 completely different .kals -the vtc spikes b/c the command spikes to 45 degrees. this is on a stock TSX motor in a EP3 running k-manager 1.3.7.0 no where on any maps is vtc more than 30
I have datalogs of both tunes when it occured & as well as the .kals. the newest datalog from today is large to upload. but here it is happening with another kal
look right at 1:00 on the datalog
EDIT I see this was a problem years ago viewtopic.php?t=3448&start=0&postdays=0 ... =vtc+spike
could it be a cam sensor going bad? or could it be I might have a K-pro'd civic (pnf?) ep3 ecu
