tuning problems!!

Post by Japhatch »

This car is boosted, i had it running well, A/F were looking good, throughout the entire rpm range, even into boost it was 12.0-12.5. I decided to change the ignition to .75 per lb of boost to .70 per lbs of boost, didnt change anything else, fuel was still 190% of N/A fuel levels. After the ignition change, it started running like shit. then i changed it back to .75..nothing happend.
I saw black squares on the high speed fuel table, and ignition table, and red squares on the actual map. and now it wont let me upload any changes to the ECU, and will not display ECU info when i click on the button. comes up blank.

what do i do?

190% of what??? Duty Cycle??? i see you have 240cc injectors still listed in this boosted car! i advise upgrading the injectors as for the black squares i dunno. post up the calibration and a datalog please.

ok, ill get a datalog tomorrow, and post the calibration, i was thinking it was my fuel pump, cuz it was working fine before..and now i cant keep it in the 12's under boost no matter what i do. but ya, i do need bigger injectors.

well im showing your a/f to be in 10 to 9's. really need to lean some out. Inj Ms are at 17.10 this should be under 10.

what wideband are you using. you didnt notice this being to rich?

the beginning of the map under 2000rpms your at 11.53 then drops to 10s and 9s. what are you idling at?

10 to 9's really? wow, my wideband doesnt show that at all. shows 13 to 14's under boost, thats why ive been trying to add more fuel. Im useing PLX wideband.
i am seeing 14.4 to 14.8 in idleing.

well shit lol, ill check the A/F sensor, and fix the injectors. see what happends.

thanks for the help. i really appriciate it.

i loaded everything and its showing me 10s. maybe someone else will chime in make sure your datalog and wb gauge match do another log and post it again.

Edit. just noticed your voltage offset is 2.48 volts thats very high. do as i stated above. im thinking your wideband wiring might need looked over. Do you have the analog ground hooked up for your plx? if so is it connected with the D22 or D21 ground pin?

voltage offset usually works out around the 0+/- 0.5V range for most people.
im assuming u think its gonna be your closed loop target when set.
drop it back to 0V & see how it compares at idle to your gauge, then fiddle the offset slightly till datalog AF & gauge match up.

stay off the throttle too,u lost your injectors on the last run
what fuel pressure u running? stock?
u really need some more injector ideally
do yourself a favour & park the car till this is sorted out.

btw...recal your TPS as well, your not seeing 100% throttle & dont test till u find some more fuel

X2. when seting up the wideband like stated above. if you wanna check let the car sit at idle look ata your gauge then on the hondata hit Shift+F2 this should bring up the logged cells of your air fuel. you might need to go to options-settings-Units then click Air Fuel for your lambda unit. while at idle if this number and your gauge dont match then you need to adjust your offset. i still think you might have a wiring issue but try that first.

Any luck with this? if anything try using a fresh start with a new map! check your wideband to the datalogger.
