Check Engine Light during idling

When I turn my car on and its warming up...usually after a little while of warming up and it goes to about 1k rpms the check engine light will just appear....i then turn the car off and back on and its gone...it never comes on while driving only if its been sitting idling for a while..... why is this?

You will have to check the error codes to see what it is.
