Injector Pulse? Please HELP Car Wont Start

Post by 1_BAD_RSX »

Ok guys having a problem and cant figure it out...... I have had my car started up and running about 12 times but the car runs really rich which is no big deal has a base map on it....so i let it run for a while the other day let the fans cycle and bleed cooling system...i shut the car off and go home...try to start the car up the next day and it wont start...it will start up for like 1 or 2 seconds and die and thats it??? i am running 1600cc Precision injectors with OEM resistor box and K pro.....i fee like i have checked everything and have no idea where to go next??

Things i do know that i have tested:
-changed resistor box to one i knew would work nothing changed
-fuel pump is priming
-engine does have spark
-engine will run on carb cleaner until runs out then dies
-carrying 52psi of fuel pressure steady
-injector pulse is barely there at best when first cranking but then pulse gets better but wont start

No ground wires where changed and the location for engine ground is on valve cover like hondata suggests

I have a injector noid light on number one and the light is really dim to barely on when i first crank which is when it is close to firing and if i keep cranking it for 20 seconds or so the light gets brighter and brighter and pulse becomes more noticible but still no start?

Injector pulse in (ms) in k pro with key on and not cranking is like 1.6 give or take and when i crank it it goes up to like 6.4 give or take and back and forth

Please help really stumped and wanna drive my car really badly

Put the stock injecotrs back in and see if you can get it to run on a stock basemap.

i dont think i can do that easily because i have precision 1600cc injectors and the pigtails are different.....any ideas on why the injector has a weak pulse?

You need to reverse what you have done in order to find where the problem lies.

I am having this same problem and haven't been able to get my car started for the past couple weeks. I had it started and idling to bleed my cooling system and check for leaks. I shut the car off that night and came back two days later and it hasn't started since. It cranks and kicks like it wants to start but stops. Just like you throttle body cleaner will get the car to run, but as soon as I stop so does the motor. I have checked all my relays, fuses, and switched out my fuel pump and nothing. With nothing changed since it was last running could this be a corruption in the ecu somewhere? I have tried uploading a different map and still nothing.

Try the ECU in a known good car.

well i think i figured my problem out...my brand new Hondata 4 bar map sensor took a shit on me....i had done almost everything and for some odd reason wednesday night i decided to change my map sensor i put my stock one back in and the car fired up on the first crank....its running a lot better than it ever did on the hondata map sensor now so maybe it wasnt too good when i got it but of course they dont offer any warranty because when they sent it out it was in working condition....

Did you change the calibration at all when you put the stock map sensor back in?
