delete this thread please, i am no longer using it.
I didnt ask them yet, but i just put back my mugen catback exhaust and the problem is solved. The mugen catback is 50mm up front, then goes to 57mm near back of B pipe, and then 60mm from axelback on. It turns out that the 70mm skunk2 catback exhaust was just too big of piping for the k20z3. It was only good on high end 5000rpm+ racing and driving, but anything from 3000rpm and under deals with a great loss of power. I guess the exhaust pulses get really messed up on the low end with too big piping as an exhaust, as this is a naturally aspirated setup.Spunkster wrote:What did Skunk2 say about this?
This is absolutely not true. It sounds like the tuning was not done correctly. Larger profile cams like stage 2 cams will always benefit from a larger exhaust. I guess to all k20 owners, DO NOT GO ANY BIGGER THAN 2.5 INCHES FOR AN EXHAUST. It will lose a lot of power on the low end for a slight betterment of high end.
