K20A help.

Post by aspecha »

I swapped a K20A into my EM.

I have the following bolt on's:

K20A DC5-R Engine
DC 4-2-1 Headers
2.5IN ... Exhaust right from the header.
Short Ram Intake

My car's running rich. I get a black exhaust buildup on my back bumper. I'll post up my map when i get home, and how do i datalog to post that as well?

You will get a dirty bumper without a cat.

ditch the current tune and upload the k20a-itr tune again without making adjustments. (except for those thats needed to make the car run.)

then save that tune and datalog 3rd from 2k-redline again and post it up

start from scratch , load the ITR calibration and tune from there. load the ITR calibration and post up at least a 20 minute datalog with a WOT 3rd gear pull somewhere it in. make sure its in open loop.

Alright I'm going to start from scratch with k20a itr basemap. The only thing I'm changing is putting vtec to 5000-5400, and down the road I was going boost so I have the hondata map sensor. When I start the car the af doesn't move at 10.7 then jumps to 27 and goes up one by one to 32. I'm not throwing a code for my o2 senors and I only have a primary. Would anyone think the wiring could be off or the map sensor not being stock with boost could be messing the af up?

And if I didn't mention I have a k swapped 01 civic (em2). I used xproductionz kswap guide to wire my primary o2 sensors if anyone needed more information. Thanks for your help.

something isnt right if its hitting 30:1 at idle. and dont set your vtec any higher than 4500.
