Sorry to bother you, I just recently got my HR cai and plan on installing it tomorrow whenever I get the chance. I’m new to all of this and have absolutely no idea what I am doing as far as tuning goes so if you have time to help me get a tune dialed in as well that would much appreciated! I know you probably won’t answer any time soon but is it safe to at least run a basemap with the speed/density box checked instead of the AFM? I saw a video where the guy said that was a way to at least make it run a little better until a proper tune is put on. Just wanted to know your thoughts on that before a turn it over once in intake is installed. Don’t wanna ruin anything right away haha.EFICU wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 11:48 pmIf you just want something to get you by until a dyno session, you need to look for a calibration that is speed density based to control the HR intake properly. I believe there is a Hondata basemap you can try if you want, then it would need some adjustments to get it dialed for you. Otherwise, if you want some help from me, I can get you onto my stuff and we can dial it that way. Do you have a time frame for getting a dyno tune?IvanJonn wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 8:21 pm Hello all! I just recently picked up a 2009 Honda Civic Si Sedan.
I just got my Hondata FlashPro and am currently running the stock tuned basemap.
I have the following parts coming in soon that I will be installing:
- Hybrid Racing CAI
- Skunk2 Alpha Header
- Full Race Exhaust
Does anyone know which basemap is suitable until I'm able to get a custom tune?
I also found this OTS tune online, but it states to use 93 and I'm in CA so I only get 91... Would it still be able to work?
https://zoshmfg.com/collections/car-stu ... shpro-tune
Thank you in advance!
As far as the OTS tune you attached, without seeing the ignition tables it's hard to say if it would work. Odds are I would say no, especially if it's one tune only and they don't provide any revisions. If it's just one calibration file and they don't give you any revisions, I would be careful with it since it is 93 octane focused.
Anyways, let me know if you want some help with it.

Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
I'm not the one doing the dialing in but for now you can run the AEM V2 CAI basemap, it should be a Race Cal and you should choose the one that's MAP based with everything else stock aside from the intake. You should be able to run that one fine for now until then.
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Go ahead and start your own thread listing your mods and general info. Then I can help you with it tomorrow. Let me know what time you plan to install it and what time zone you’re in so I can get you a file before you start the install.06si wrote: Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:40 am

Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Okay so I posted the thread “hybrid Racing cai tune”. Just let me know what else you need to know before we get started!.
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Thanks! I saw someone else had mentioned that in the comment section of the video I watched but they made it clear that it wasn’t the most reliable thing, I suppose a day wouldn’t hurt running it considering I’m not worried about gas atm and I just got an oil change not that long ago. So I’ll go with that until the tuning process is set. Thanks again!IvanJonn wrote: Sun Mar 06, 2022 12:55 am I'm not the one doing the dialing in but for now you can run the AEM V2 CAI basemap, it should be a Race Cal and you should choose the one that's MAP based with everything else stock aside from the intake. Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Hi, unrelated to the tune I wanted to ask a question about the clutch pedal on this car. After adjustment I was able to lift up the engagement point higher, since before it seemed to engage really close to the floor.
I noticed that after the car has been sitting for awhile or if it's cold, the clutch pedal has a lot more freeplay up top, and bites down low. But after some driving, the pedal normalizes and there is less freeplay and it engages more towards the top as usual. Is this normal or a sign of anything abnormal? I will try and get some videos showing how much play is present when cold and when warmed up.

Is the clutch master full of fluid?

It is, last I checked to the full line
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Cheers for putting I the effort on this map my car has similar spec and has came alive with this map. Looking to put some rdx injectors next week so would it be all right to hijack the post for a little fine tuning after??
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
I don't mind the hijack but I do get all the notifications, feel free to make another thread and tag the man and he'll get you all sorted!
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
As Ivan said, go ahead and make your own thread when you can. While you're here, you mention wanting to go with RDXs, I will only tune OEM RDXs. I don't tune aftermarket RDX injectors from eBay and Amazon, or any other aftermarket brand RDX. Fake RDX injectors cause a lot of issues in the short term, for long term I imagine the issues will get worse. But we can discuss that in your thread when you make it.B0BSK1 wrote: Fri Apr 22, 2022 2:25 pm Cheers for putting I the effort on this map my car has similar spec and has came alive with this map. Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Oh man, while I have you, I forgot to mention I got my other parts on. The Skunk2 Alpha Header and Full Race Exhaust in addition to the Hybrid Racing CAI. I'm currently running the zoshmfg I sent before, which runs well. After a normal drive I notice about 30 or so knock count. Should I do a datalog on this tune and send it over here?
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Yeah, he probably won't want the tune blasted on here. You can email me the calibration and a datalog when you get a chance, then I can look it over.
Re: Basemap Suggestions or File Needed
Where can I find your email?
And sorry it's been awhile but what did you need in the datalog? And how long again?
