Do you have the alternate pairing mode enabled?

Hold the power button on the head unit until it asks to reboot, then reboot and then try to pair it after rebooting.

Im suprised you’d do an RMA when my flash pro would connect to phone no problem or laptop via bluetooth and would also connect to a mobile app hondata . 🤷

maybe this helps as i just went thru this process today

you have to go into the flash pro software and enable the 2018 box under bluetooth (for me anyway mine is an 2018 civic si)-also make sure your firmware is updated--i did everything on my pc and used the printer cable connection not the usb for the flashpro updates. hold and reboot the audio button to reboot things after each change once connected to obd

here is the key i found ----make sure the car is in ignition position 2 ie ready to run when you hit the start button--not accessary mode--when pairing the flashpro for some reason it would not find it otherwise--no code needed when i did this set to 0000 default

hope that helps-i am a 57 year old geezer!--gauges on headunit now function w/hondata apk--i hacked my car 5 years ago and my flashpro is also 5 years old pleasantly surprised it had bluetooth!!

also the flashpro must remain connected to the obd for this to work

for those who have submitted an RMA form. have you guys gotten any help. i’m not sure how that would be useful, it’s just trying to get around the pair code on the head unit. it sucks when you follow all the instructions and it won’t work. the head unit just won’t allow the connection without asking for pairing code. please if someone has come with a solution here in 2025 please let me know. this thread has gotten quiet and i see nothing saying the problem is fixed

Hello everyone,

I’m facing the same issue. All my apps are updated, including the FlashPro Manager and the Hondata app for the head unit. However, I can’t pair the FlashPro Mini with the car. I’ve tried adding the device through the Bluetooth menu in the app, made sure the “alternative” menu option is checked, and set the PIN to the standard 1234. But I keep getting an error message saying it can’t pair with the FlashPro unit.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just bought the FlashPro Mini a month ago.

Thanks a lot! 🙏
