Yeah that one looked really good. I think we're finally there. You had the one knock, but it happened on the third gear pull but not the fourth, and only happened on one of those pulls and not the other six pulls. Because of that, I don't think it's worth addressing since it seems to have been an oddity. So yeah, take that Rev08 for another drive and let's see how it looks, we might finally be there on this version of your setup.

Just had 77 knocks lolz in an hour and a half, posting logs in a bit, I think it's when my exauhst is on decel and making a deep tone, not sure but it felt strong almost all were in cylinder 4 also, half spirited mountain drive, half highway cool down, only difference was I had 92 clear fuel In last log, this time had some shell 92 in which I thought was supposed to be the tits from forums, but I think I'll let you look at logs and decide, had alot of knock control the whole drive too which if I'm not dumb is to attribute for poor fuel quality ? No rush it's running great most the time the knocks are all within a few events , after plugs and valve adjustment and hybrid install, all planned for Thursday/Friday, it should give more consistent numbers, fingers crossed, anyways thanks again man it is driving good just logged for logs sake

Yeah I was going to ask the last time you filled up with gas, but it doesn't seem to like the Shell gas you got. It jumped 20 knocks on a third gear WOT pull, which is more than it had on the very first datalog with more ignition. I would recommend taking it easy until you can put some new gas in it. I can pull a bunch of timing for now if you want, and then just start fresh when the intake and plugs go in. So let me know, I can either pull a bunch of timing, or take it easy until you get through this tank. You even had a lot of knock in part throttle areas nowhere near where it did before. Whatever the reason, poor quality, lower than advertised octane, or whatever the reason is, it doesn't like that recent tank. But it shows you how the ECU steps in to reduce ignition in situations like this.

Yay I thought the same thing I was hoping I was onto something, I'll just ease us through this tank, got 3 bars left, you tuned it on 92 octane no ethanol, should I just go back to that?

K full up on the 92 clear that gave no knocks yesterday, and although there may be no power difference with the two there is more energy in 92 clear, so I'm guessing we tuned it for that fuel and the tune was so on the point that that small difference sent my engin into knock condition, the plugs will help too but I am going to guess the next log tomorrow will be better, I'll just do a couple highway pulls if there's no knock on the first one and I'll live data log so I'm being safe, the tune was so perfect before same day same Temps but only variable was the fuel change and that shell is not a bad shell I know they always seem to have quality fuel from my boosted rx7, always ran great so idk we will wait for results, if nothing else I'm learning how to look moment to moment on data logs and find knock events, and look at sensor conditions and graphs leading up to and during them, kinda really interesting :) not wanted, but pert of the learning process I guess

Yeah I would say let's just take it easy until we get the new intake and plugs installed if you can. We're chasing the same areas and reducing timing without reducing knock too much. We're down 6-8*'s now up top and still getting knock. And that's using 91 octane ignition tables, so something is wrong mechanically I think. I made one more revision for now, run this one until we can get the plugs and intake installed and then reinspect. You might even make a plan to replace the plugs only and then make a datalog to inspect for knock before installing the intake. That way we might be able to determine whether it was a plug issue or not. Up to you though, either way though I say let's take it easy until then and go from there. Everything else looks good.

Perfect my thoughts exactly, intake will be here tomorrow you mind sending over a basemap for that too? The hybrid one, unless you know if their basemaps a good starting point

I'll replace them tonight after work, kids happen to be gone for 5 days , also no knocks I was live logging being careful but I'll upload revision 9 no knocks and then I get cheeky, 1 2 3 full pulls after no knocks, after no knocks lol you fixed my spark plugs via hondata? Jk I'll put em in and get some logs with this revision 9 to compare

here, no need to tune with no new plugs yet. but shes not knocking or knock controlling , so thats a positive :)

Yeah it looks good. Interesting that it all the sudden stopped knocking, though I did take a bigger swing at the ignition, but still.
Here is the basemap for you to get started on for the next one. I reset the ignition and everything so we can start clean and not rely on the ignition from the last calibration. If there is a bunch of knock again, I will transfer the ignition tables from the old calibration to get us back to no knock hopefully, then work our way up. Hopefully the plugs and new intake setup help our knock, but we'll see.
For this first datalog with the intake, keep the driving fairly calm and be sure to get the clean WOT pull from 2500-8600 so we get a good look at the fuel from the start. Then on the next revision you can get after it. This first one will be very close, but I like to clean up any big chunks as quick as possible before you get to aggressive with the driving.
I kept the number scheme inline for organization sake, instead of starting back on Rev01.
