Yeah I can help you with it. I sent you a PM, I'd rather you email me the calibration than posting a calibration on here that someone else could download and cause similar issues. Once I look it over then we will go from there.zakul wrote: Tue Aug 31, 2021 7:32 am Hey man,
I recently just joined the forum so I can't PM you, but I was wondering if you could help me out. I have HR CAI, Skunk2 Headers and Invidia N1 3in exhaust. Im running a tune I found on a forum and it seems to be running ok especially since im getting dyno'd in about 2 months. But I feel that the tune I have right now can be improved as it has some weird idling issues and off a cold start the rpms go up in neutral but that stops after about 2 mins. If you could help me out that would be sick. Thanks.

Re: 2009 Civic Si IHE Basemap
Hi I recently joined as well. I have had my Flashpro for a while and I want to finally start learning to make some adjustments to improve upon the base map. I see as I am reading through that you have helped out quite a few people so I thought I would see if you would mind helping me out with a tune as well? I have the same problem that I couldn't PM you yet. Thanks in advance if you can work with me on my tune.

All depends on the mods you have. If you want to learn about it and make your own changes, I would probably recommend taking some courses that you would be able to watch a few times to really learn the basics. It really all depends on your mods and what you want to start on for a basemap.LatonaBuiltK20Z3 wrote: Fri Sep 10, 2021 4:20 pm Hi I recently joined as well. Right now I have an IHE. I have read through a tuning book and have been looking into Evans Performance Academy to learn for myself. I am hoping to get into that this winter when I have more free time. That is definitely something that interests me but I haven't yet tried to mess with anything other than a few simple settings.

The Evans courses would be a good place to get started. If you want to start your own thread on here, you can post some datalogs and calibrations you've made and I can try to help you with it if you want.LatonaBuiltK20Z3 wrote: Fri Sep 10, 2021 8:14 pm Right now I have an IHE. That would be great. I would appreciate any help especially to get started and get familiar with working in Hondata. I will get a calibration and datalog together to start a thread. Thanks!

Hey EFI,
Thanks again for that map it's been running awesome.
I recently replaced my clutch, primary o2 sensor, and fixed an exhaust leak, today was the first time driving the car in a couple of weeks. It's knocking quite badly and everything is out of wack in the part throttle.
Could you take a look? I don't feel comfortable driving the car in this state.
Many thanks,

It's a little hard to say what's going on with the knock. The aftermarket clutch could be causing it, perhaps noise from the clutch. I'm guessing you put an aftermarket flywheel on or no? Which clutch did you get? All of the knock is happening in one small area for the most part. A couple of them are being caused by your rev matching, you appear to be almost flooring it on the rev matching during some downshifts. You might try just blipping the gas to help reduce the knock you're causing, but the majority, 99% of them, are happening in an area at part throttle. It's good that it's a small area, but it's almost like it's getting some outside noise causing the false knock. It's only in cylinders 2 and 3, which are next to the knock sensor.
You mention, "...everything is out of wack in part throttle.", what do you mean by that? I don't see anything odd happening besides the knock. With the new o2 sensor, it's hard to say how close all the fueling is. It's all single digit fuel trims at part throttle, which might need to be touched up with the new sensor you installed. But let me know what you mean everything out of wack at part throttle.
I pulled some timing in the area of knock. Let's attack it by reducing ignition, if it doesn't go away after a few ignition changes it very well might be false knock, but we'll see. Give this one a drive.

"Everything is out of wack" was kind of an exaggeration, it idles smooth and seems to run fine but the knock count goes crazy.
The clutch is an exedy OEM replacement and 8.9lbs lightweight flywheel. I drove it briefly after the clutch job and all seemed to be ok, I did do a valve adjustment. Intake was fine but exhaust lash was very tight, the engine sounds normal no clicking or knocking. I will most likely pop the cover off this weekend to check again.
They're all mostly on cylinder #3, would it make sense that I'd be getting ghost knock from a warped header? Some of the bolts came loose and the gasket burned up, I replaced it but when I measured the flange on the header, cylinder 3 had maybe a 0.5mm gap or less. I don't feel any air escaping when I put my hand near it while idling but potentially sound is escaping causing the sensor to detect knock.

Re: 2009 Civic Si IHE Basemap
Have you recently got gas maybe? Something changed somewhere to cause this much knock, whether it be actual or false knock. If you say it didn't show knock after all this work, then I would have to guess you got some really poor gas.

hey i also used your final file before the knock test for his car.. im running k tuned headers with straight piped stock exhaust. and a k&n typhoon short ram intake. stock injectors. i also took a few data logs and checked it out a little bit i don’t see any knock count, and suddenly i had an error code for p0326 knock sensor malfunction. not sure what’s going on but could you adjust this file for my car or help make a new file..?
