Yep it looks really good. The main thing for you want to be able to look for is knock really. That way you can spot check every once in a while and let me know if you see something. But yeah it looks good, I think we might be onto something. Take it for a spin when you can, and we'll see if it stays knock free.

Yeah I’ll run a couple of data logs Tomorrow to see if the logs stay clean or knocks. I did notice that after I stopped recording I left the hondata app on my phone running and it showed 7 knock counts after but that may have been a fluke or something. On stock does the car normally have any knock at all or none I’m assuming ?

Sounds good. Yes it's common to see knock on a stock car or tune. The calibration in stock form is designed to work with every North American car they sell covering a variety of octanes. So yes, it is common. The ECU has a knock control system that works to try to determine what octane you might have in the tank based on how much noise is being heard from the knock sensor. So if it hears a lot of noise, it will raise the knock control to reduce timing proactively in an attempt to avoid or reduce knock. That's why we tune them based on your car and what it likes.

here is the recent log. the file was too large so I added it to google drive. below is the link. the run last night had no knocks but for some reason i had several knocks from today on the log. Weird lol. Just as a fyi I did run my gas all the way down today before refueling up with the same gas. this was before i logged.

Yeah it's definitely interesting how the knock comes on in this datalog. I made some adjustments, so take this one for a spin and we'll see how it looks.

here is the recent data log. I have two files on there with 30 minutes runs. the 1st one had no knocks but the second had several. very odd lol.
let me know what you think https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

I also forgot to point out that I was like half a tank of gas on 91 octane. I just filled back up after the data log with 93 octane. Will the octane difference really affect anything? Should I stay on 91 or use 93 ? I didn’t check last time the octane being 91 which is what I was running and I just changed back to 93 now on a full tank.

Hybrid intake came in today. I might just wait to get headers down the road. You think I should install the intake now and then you run another map after or should I hold off.

How far off would the header be? Either way I would hate to tell someone to leave the HR intake laying around and not install it. But let me know when you plan to do the header, if it's not soon I would say put the HR on. But let me know so I can get you the right basemap to start.

Hey brotha man. Im going to hold off on the header for a couple of months so I will install the hybrid intake today. Can you give the baseman to start with today so I can load it after :) Super stoked lol and I can’t thank you enough.

Sounds good. Here is the first one. Be sure to upload it before you start the car with the intake on. Then make a 20 minute datalog with a clean third gear pull.

Alright will do. Thanks again man. I’m at the dealership getting oil changed and getting a new key cut. Fucking shit is expensive for a key lol. I’m thinking about getting the time chain, guides etc adjusted next week as well and maybe the valves adjusted. Would this affect anything with the tune ?

Sounds good. The adjustments shouldn't cause any major issues, granted the work is done right, which the dealer would be ideal for. But we can always look it over after the work is done.

I appreciate you being quick on you responses but damn why you at home on the computer lol. get out and enjoy the weather LMAO. so ive just been trying to learn the behavior of the knock on the car so ive just being data logging everytime im out on the current setup. the knocks yesterday were like from Cyl 4 mostly but today on a short 20 minute run just coasting i only got 6 and it seemed to come from CYL 2. maybe its just ghost knocks ? i am stoked to get the CAI on but hopefully the dealer doesnt take too long to get my stuff done. I am just getting the oil changed and trans fluid flushed today. coming back next week or so to the do the rest.

here is the 1st run with the Hybrid CAI installed. let me know what you think. there was several knocks recorded so hopefully you can figure out why CYL 4 keeps getting them :). on the positive note the Intake sounds sick lol
