I would say it does too, haha. Watching the tach sweep on the pull was fun to watch. I ran that pull through the virtual dyno software, if it's correct this is going to be a fun car.
Here is the next one. We will move to the 20* cam angle with vtec at 4500 again. Take this one for a spin when you can, same datalog and driving style.

Got the next data log for ya! Once again the car feels awesome!

Looks killer again, I'd be lying if I said this doesn't make me want to put a K20Z3 head on my TSX. Haha.
Here is the next one for you, we will move to the 30* cam angle with vtec at 5500. We move vtec up and down over the next few revisions to find an optimal vtec rpm and work on the fueling in the vtec window. Take it for the same type of datalog and driving style.
One quick question, I don't know if we discussed it, but did you clay the engine for piston to valve clearance when you put it together?

Alright awesome! I'm actually not the one who put it together, but the guy who did owns a performance shop so I'm not sure if he did that or not. I would assume he did but I can ask him and see what he says

Yeah if you can, I don't plan to go higher than 40* anyways which is sort of the known safe rotation. But I would feel better if your guy is comfortable with that. It will start to run out of breath most likely at 40*, therefore a higher degree of rotation is useless, getting feedback from your guy on if he feels 40* is safe then we can be 100% confident we're being safe for you. Just let me know, if we need to we can stop at 30* while you check with him, so we can keep moving for now. Just try to get in touch with him and see if he is comfortable with 40*.

So he told me that it should clear, and he'd trust it to 50 degrees. But I am skeptical. It's a Z3 head, TSX cams, and stock K24A bottom end.. so I'm not 100 percent sure if I'm good or not. I do see people recommend the TSX internals for K frank swaps so maybe he is right? Everything he's told me about the car has been correct but I do want to be on the cautious side.

Also, i was not at all prepared for that tune haha heres the data log. I kinda just expected a normalish VTEC hit like the car has been doing, but this time was insane lol

Sounds good, we'll stop at 40*, especially if the data shows we're not going gain much going over that anyways. I have a feeling you're going to be pretty happy at even if we cap it at 40* anyways, so we'll see.
That one looked great. We will now do one with vtec at 4000 on the 30* cam angle, for this one, you can make a ten minute datalog if you'd like, just be sure to get a clean third gear pull. This one will really open up in the midrange with vtec at 4000.

Here is the data log for the 30 degree cam 4k VTEC!

This one looks good too. So we'll do a couple real quick at 40* and stop there. So take this one for a drive when you can, you can do a ten minute one if you'd like, the main thing we need is the third gear WOT pull. Vtec is at 5500 in this one.

Looks good, we will do one on the 40* cam with vtec at 4000 now. This will be the last locked cam angle revisions, then we blend it out to see how it runs. This is another one you can take for a ten minute drive, we really just need the third gear WOT pull basically.

Ive got the next data log for ya! Also something kinda weird happened? Before I got to the spot where I always data log, I got random misfire codes for every single cylinder lol. I didnt even notice when it happened either, I was just driving, I look down and the check engine light is on, VSA is on, and the angry triangle. But the car was running the same as it was before and the issue never came back, like i said i didnt even notice when it happened, just figured I'd let you know

Yeah that's interesting how it tripped that misfire code. We'll keep an eye on it in the next couple as we finalize everything. Overall that last one looked great, and now I've gone in and blended out the cam angle mapping based on the data. Vtec looks to be happy at 4000, so see how that feels. Feel free to have some fun is this one, see what you think. Just be sure to get around twenty minutes in length, and at least one third gear WOT pull. Other than that, drive it however you want and see what you think. It should be a lot of fun, just be safe.
